Sofia Likhacheva
Integrative Psychotherapist & Counselling Psychologist
BSc, MSc, reg MBACP, BPS
Sofia Likhacheva is available for appointments at Schoen Clinic Chelsea on Thursdays.
Sofia Likhacheva is a Psychotherapist at Schoen Clinic Chelsea, offering a compassionate, trauma-informed approach rooted in psychoanalytic and attachment-based principles. With a belief that each person's life experiences shape their emotional landscape, Sofia centres her practice on understanding "what happened to you?" rather than "what is wrong with you?"
Sofia provides a safe, confidential space for clients to explore how past events may impact their present, as well as their relationships and sense of self. Through a collaborative therapeutic process, she helps clients gain insights into unconscious patterns, nurturing deeper self-understanding and facilitating meaningful life changes.
With extensive experience in various mental health settings including the NHS, private practices, and charitable organisations, Sofia has worked with adults, adolescents, and children dealing with diverse challenges, including anxiety, depression, relational difficulties, trauma, and eating disorders.
Trained across several therapeutic modalities, including CBT, systemic, and person-centred therapy, Sofia tailors her approach to each client’s unique needs. She specialises in relational issues, neurodivergence, and eating disorders, and offers therapy in both English and Russian. A Doctorate in Counselling Psychology, Sofia also holds a Master's degree in Psychology and is registered with the British Psychological Society and the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.
Languages spoken: English and Russian
