Dr Joe Datt

Dr Joe Datt is a highly experienced Paediatrician and Neonatologist with over 20 years of international expertise in medical research and clinical care.

With a decade of dedicated focus on rare diseases, he has spent 17 years working in the NHS, providing specialist care to children and newborns. Dr Datt adopts a holistic and preventative approach to paediatric healthcare, focusing on neurology, rare diseases, asthma, child development, intensive care, and mental health conditions, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).

Dr Datt’s expertise in rare diseases spans a wide array of complex conditions worldwide. His work also encompasses groundbreaking therapies in oncology, including small molecule treatments, biologics, and gene therapy.

Additionally, he has a wealth of experience in managing respiratory conditions such as Asthma and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), as well as gastrointestinal, metabolic disorders. Dr Datt is also has a keen interest in the diet and nutrition in infants and children.

Before establishing his clinical career, Dr. Datt was actively involved in scientific research and development, contributing to early-phase studies in fields such as HIV/AIDS and cancer at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in the United States. His scientific pursuits remain a core part of his practice, ensuring his patients benefit from cutting-edge knowledge and innovations in paediatric care.

Dr Datt also holds prominent educational roles, serving as a postgraduate tutor, board examiner, and educational supervisor accredited by the General Medical Council (GMC). He is recognised as a leader in pharmaceutical medicine and was awarded a Fellowship by the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine of the Royal College of Physicians of the United Kingdom in 2024.
