About Brenda Naso

Qualifications

MA RDMP, ADMP UK, PGDip IBMT

Brenda Naso is a specialist psychotherapist and clinical supervisor with nearly twenty years of clinical experience working with adults, children, and young people. She is part of the expert multidisciplinary team at Schoen Clinic Chelsea, a leading private mental health clinic in London, offering specialist outpatient treatment for a wide range of conditions.

Brenda provides both individual and group psychotherapy in Chelsea, integrating talking therapy and embodied psychotherapy approaches to support those struggling with attachment issues, interpersonal difficulties, anxiety, depression, loss, burnout, medically unexplained symptoms, functional neurological disorders, trauma, mood disorders, bipolar disorder, and other complex mental health challenges.

Brenda has extensive experience within the NHS, working in both acute and community adult mental health services, as well as in GP practices, supporting individuals with chronic pain, health anxiety, and medically unexplained symptoms (MUS). Additionally, she has worked in the charitable sector with children and young people facing trauma, abuse, attachment difficulties, low self-esteem, and other psychological challenges. A specialist in Somatic Trauma Therapy, Brenda has a deep interest in embodied processes and somatic practices, understanding trauma as a psychophysical experience.

At Schoen Clinic Chelsea, Brenda offers a personalised and integrative approach to psychotherapy in London, ensuring a safe, non-judgmental, and client-centred therapeutic environment where individuals can explore their thoughts, emotions, and bodily experiences at their own pace. She draws from humanistic, person-centred, attachment-focused, systemic, and psychodynamic psychotherapies, alongside embodied practices and creative therapy techniques. This tailored approach helps clients build self-awareness, resilience, and emotional healing.

Brenda’s international background has given her a profound awareness of the challenges that come with navigating new cultural landscapes, particularly issues of identity, belonging, and adjustment. Her personal experience as an immigrant allows her to deeply empathise with individuals from multicultural and minority communities, making her an ideal therapist for those seeking culturally sensitive psychotherapy in London.

In addition to her clinical work, Brenda is a university lecturer and workshop/retreat facilitator, delivering training in the UK and internationally.

Languages spoken: English, Spanish, French, and Portuguese.

Brenda warmly welcomes self-funding patients to her Schoen Clinic Chelsea practice.
