How can a short-term residential stay help a child with an eating disorder?

At Schoen Clinic Newbridge, we understand the complexities and challenges associated with eating disorders such as anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa and OSFED. Our multidisciplinary team of eating disorder specialists are dedicated to helping those in need.

One of the core components of our short-term inpatient stays is to provide early intervention towards mitigating the effects of eating disorders and hopefully preventing their escalation.

By offering private short-term inpatient stays, we create a safe, focused environment to help slow the advancement of the eating disorder as privately-funded patients can access our services at an earlier stage of the eating disorder.

Our aim is to provide a safe and supportive space where children and teens can rest and heal physically and emotionally, laying the foundation for a sustainable recovery journey.
