Clinical Psychologist
Sarah is a Clinical Psychologist specialising in working with adults with mood and anxiety difficulties. Sarah completed her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Royal Holloway University and has worked as a qualified psychologist in the NHS in secondary adult mental health services for over 13 years. She has worked with clients experiencing a wide range of mental health difficulties and distressing experiences, including depression, bipolar disorder, worry, panic, social anxiety, phobias, health anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), post-traumatic stress disorder, psychosis, perfectionism, and bereavements.

Sarah is trained in a range of evidence-based treatments including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy and Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT).

Sarah completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Compassion Focused Therapy at the University of Derby. This therapeutic approach is particularly helpful for those experiencing low self-esteem, self-criticism, low mood, anxiety and shame. Learning to be more compassionate towards ourselves can help us to become more resilient to setbacks and have greater feelings of self-worth and well-being.

Sarah offers a warm, non-judgemental approach to support clients with making sense of how their emotional difficulties arose and why these persist and develop skills to work towards meaningful changes in their lives and improved quality of life.

Sarah is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the British Psychological Society (BPS).
