Hip and groin conditions

Hip and groin specialists at the Fortius Clinic are highly skilled in the management of both traumatic and degenerative conditions of the hip, including carrying out total hip replacement for the treatment of arthritis and revision hip replacement where previous surgery has been unsuccessful. We also have extensive expertise in adductor-related groin pain and sports hernia management.

Our sports injury clinics help both amateur and professional sportsmen and women to return to fitness as soon as possible. Patients attend our clinics from a wide range of disciplines including golf, tennis, football, rugby, the martial arts and hockey.

When surgical procedures are necessary, we make sure you receive the most appropriate treatment and each patient is given a personalised rehabilitation programme to help them regain strength and flexibility as soon as possible.

Our specialists use a combination of minimally invasive and joint preservation techniques, as well as traditional surgery, to restore function. We have particular expertise in arthroscopic (keyhole) surgery including the treatment of femoroacetabular impingement (FAI) and can offer a range of minimally invasive surgical approaches, including periacetabular osteotomy (PAO) for hip dysplasia. Early intervention in these cases is important as long-term functional outcomes are closely related to the level of damage to the hip joint at the start. Patients at the Fortius Clinic can follow a personalised rehabilitation programme following their treatment in order to regain strength and flexibility as soon as possible.
