Our highly specialised, award-winning spine and orthopaedic hospital (Schoen Clinic London voted Best Private UK Hospital (Acute & Mental) 2019 - Laing Buisson Awards) is looking for exceptional Physiotherapists to join our Phyiotherpist team as Weekend Bank Shift workers. 

As a highly specialised spine and orthopaedic hospital, the successful candidates will be working alongside leading consultants, offering rapid assessment, expert diagnosis and treatment leading to excellent outcomes. 

This role would be ideal for Physiotherapists who have a passion for healthcare and wish to work alongside industry experts. 



  • To be professional, legally responsible, and accountable for all aspects of your own work including the management of patients in your care
  • To ensure a high standard of clinical care to inpatients under your management
  • To undertake comprehensive assessment of patients and to formulate effective, clinical treatment plans in line with Schoen Clinic enhanced recovery pathways
  • To carry out timely assessment and treatment of your caseload and to facilitate safe discharge home or onward referral from the hospital if required
  • To be competent in using a wide variety of assessment techniques and skills
  • To assess patient’s needs for any rehabilitative equipment and aids to improve safety and functionality within their home
  • To teach patients, carers family members, and other agencies on the use of any equipment issued
  • To demonstrate competent therapeutic handling skills requiring dexterity, coordination and palpation skills for accurate assessment, treatment, and handling of patients
  • To be accountable to the Physiotherapy Manager and communicate effective handovers to the weekly orthopaedic team  
  • To maintain and demonstrate your own clinical professional development by keeping up to date with new treatments and research, incorporating them into your work as necessary.


Health and Safety

  • To ensure high standards of cleanliness and presentation are maintained at all times
  • To be responsible for the safe use of equipment used within the physiotherapy department, notifying the Physiotherapy Manager of any equipment in need of repair or maintenance, and employing effective use of reporting system already in place
  • To comply with Health and Safety Policies of the hospital at all times to ensure the wellbeing of the post-holder, patients, visitors, and other staff
  • To be aware of Health and Safety issues within the hospital and department, ensuring prompt reporting and recording of any accidents or near-miss (Datix Incident Report System)
  • To comply with organisational and departmental policies and procedures and ensure that patient treatment notes are kept to quality in line with recommendations of the Health and Care Professional Council (HCPC) and the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP)

To comply with policies for personal and patient safety and infection control, this includes a requirement for rigorous and consistent compliance with hand hygiene and personal appearance.
