Description

Schoen Clinic have an opportunity for a Paralegal to play an important part in supporting the General Counsel in the delivery of legal services on a wide range of legal matters with a particular focus on commercial contracts, including drafting, reviewing, and updating.

This job is remote however successful candidate will be required to work from offices and attend sites in London.

Principle Duties

  • To draft and negotiate a range of commercial contracts and advise on terminations/renewals of commercial agreements
  • To provide ad hoc advice to the business on matters including standard terms & conditions, NDSs, promotions, consumer law matters, anti-trust, dispute resolution and data protection
  • To provide written legal opinions on ad hoc legal issues including compliance
  • Keeping the General Counsel informed about important issues and ability to present clearly and precisely, enabling others to understand the key facts and issues
  • Staying up to date with legal developments and key business information and being aware of the marketplace and company's position within it
  • Cultivating and maintaining a relationship with internal and external counsel

Skills

  • LLB and paralegal qualification or equivalent
  • Established experience working as a Paralegal
  • Proven experience in managing, drafting and reviewing a varied range of contracts
  • High level of written English competence
  • Excellent drafting, negotiating and communication skills
  • Commercial awareness ability to produce innovative and cost effective legal solutions
  • Resilient and calm under pressure
  • Excellent organisational skills, ability to plan, organise, prioritise tasks and projects
