Meet the Schoen Clinic UK Leadership team

Executive management

Andy Davey: UK Managing Director

Andy joined Schoen Clinic in March 2020 and is responsible for leading the UK strategy for growth, clinical excellence as well as the quality agenda. He assumes full accountability to the Board of Directors in Germany as well as our investors, along with overall responsibility for all UK operations.

Andy comes with a rich wealth of experience in the independent sector with a successful leadership career spanning 20 years.

He has been operating at executive and senior level for most of the UK’s leading private healthcare providers including Nuffield Health, Aspen Healthcare, BMI and most recently Spire Healthcare. He has also been the Non-Executive Chairman of STEPS Rehabilitation.

Jen Nel CA (SA): UK Finance Director

Jen joined Schoen Clinic in August 2020. Her portfolio encompasses finance, commercial, M&A, technology, procurement and facilities management – ensuring the UK business is strategically positioned for growth.

Jen is a healthcare expert, with over 20 years’ experience across public, private and professional services. Previous leadership roles include CFO of Healthshare Group, Commercial Finance Director of Viapath Group and KPMG Transaction Services and Healthcare Advisory.

Jen is Trustee and Treasurer of the Carers Network Charity.

Sarah Findlay: UK General Counsel

Sarah joined Schoen Clinic in January 2023 and is responsible for the oversight and management of all legal matters including structuring and delivering commercial deals, compliance, commercial contracting, litigation and regulatory matters and supporting teams in the delivery of the organisational strategy. 

Sarah has vast legal experience in private healthcare, having spent the previous 10 years with HCA Healthcare UK.  

She has also worked at other prestigious law firms  including LangtonHudsonButcher and Russell McVeagh.

Faye Collins: UK HR Director

Faye joined Schoen Clinic in October 2020 and is responsible for leading the HR team and progressing our people strategy.

Faye has spent many years in healthcare working in complex organisations and has been instrumental in integrating a diverse range of facilities into the business through proactive change management.

Dr James Woolley: UK Group Medical Director

Dr Woolley was one of the founding clinicians at Schoen Clinic Chelsea and has been instrumental in driving their quality agenda as well as being influential in setting growth aspirations.

Dr Woolley is dual-qualified in general medicine and Psychiatry, training in London at the Maudsley Hospital. He has been Consultant Psychiatrist since 2007, specialising in psychosis and anxiety and mood disorders alongside liaison psychiatry at a variety of London teaching hospitals.

In addition to 15+ years NHS Consultant experience, he has extensive knowledge of the private healthcare market having worked with the largest UK private mental healthcare provider for over a decade.

Dr Woolley most recently worked at the Royal Brompton and Royal Marsden Hospitals, running their psychiatry service and is increasing his commitment to Schoen Clinic during an exciting period of growth.

Adam Bloor: UK Clinical Director

Adam joined Schoen Clinic in May 2022 and following 2 successful interim appointments as Hospital Director at Schoen Clinic York and Clinic Director Schoen Clinic Chelsea, he is now appointed Clinical Director for the UK group.

He has over 16 years of experience working with people with mental health conditions as well as those with learning disabilities and complex needs.

Adam brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience from the sector, from rehabilitation to secure provisions. He has previous experience as the Hospital Director of an 85-bed hospital treating a range of conditions including eating disorders, adult psychiatry, CAMHS, addictions and Huntingtons Dementia.

He has also held the position of Operations Director nationally overseeing 12 mental health hospitals/services across the UK.

Laura Penn: UK Marketing Director

Laura joined Schoen Clinic in January 2021 and is responsible for driving the brand and marketing strategy and all public relations for the UK group.

Laura is an experienced healthcare marketing and business development professional having worked for some of the UK’s leading private healthcare providers including Spire Healthcare, Nuffield Health and Aspen Healthcare.

She has a consistent track record for delivering private revenue growth by effectively promoting private services to the public, GPs and allied healthcare professionals. 

Hospital management

Marco Burman-Fourie: Clinic Director, Schoen Clinic Chelsea

Marco joined Schoen Clinic in November 2023 as Clinic Director.

Marco brings a wealth of experience having previously worked as Hospital Director for The Priory Group and several key positions within the high-end hotel and hospitality industry.

Marco is responsible for the clinical and operational management of Schoen Clinic Chelsea including the onward growth of the business and its services, delivering the highest quality care, best practice and a safe environment for patients, colleagues and visitors.

A key aspect of Marco’s role will be to lead on building strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure we meet the needs of the patients we care for.

Kerry George: Hospital Director, Schoen Clinic Newbridge

Kerry joined Schoen Clinic Newbridge in January 2024 and brings a wealth of experience in similar roles previously within Cygnet Healthcare and the Active Care Group.

Kerry has 17 years+ experience within mental healthcare and her vision for Schoen Clinic Newbridge is to keep delivering outstanding patient care and be the workplace of choice for healthcare professionals and the hospital of choice for patients and commissioners. 

Chloe Baron: Hospital Director, Schoen Clinic York

Chloe joined Schoen Clinic York in January 2019 as a senior mental health nurse. Since then, Chloe has progressed to the position of Clinical Manager and now takes on the role of Hospital Director.

Skills and previous experience
Chloe is responsible for the allied health professionals and the multidisciplinary function of a patient's stay, alongside ensuring the highest standard of quality care is provided.

Chloe has many years of experience as a registered mental health nurse having worked with a diverse number of mental health disorders.

Her passion is caring for patients with eating disorders and the development of the clinical quality and effectiveness of the service at Schoen Clinic York.
